The new VMX701DAB moniceiver succeeds the successful VMX700DAB, which quickly established itself as the most popular ESX moniceiver, with thousands of units sold. The new generation has been purposefully developed based on this proven foundation. A new, more powerful chipset, combined with the latest Linux operating system, ensures faster response times and even smoother operation. Another new feature is the ability to play DAB+ and USB media while navigating via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™; navigation prompts are automatically overlaid. Operation is handled via the high-res 7-inch touchscreen and a convenient rotary volume control. Bluetooth® hands-free calling and audio streaming round out the extensive feature set.

 

One of the VMX701DAB’s key strengths is wireless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Familiar smartphone interfaces are clearly displayed on the 7-inch screen, allowing for convenient and intuitive operation. The VMX701DAB impresses with its comprehensive features and versatile connectivity options. In addition to a built-in amplifier delivering 4 x 80 watts of music power, it features a digital sound processor (DSP) with time alignment. USB ports with charging functionality, six 4-volt RCA pre-amp outputs, audio/video inputs, and connections for front and rear-view cameras allow for flexible system expansion. A separate GPS receiver and the DAB+ antenna are included in the package. Analog steering wheel controls can also be easily integrated.
