The new VMX1401DAB is the flagship of the current ESX VISION moniceiver series—and makes a bold statement with its impressive 14-inch multi-angle touchscreen. The massive screen area offers an excellent overview, turning navigation, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™ into a truly special experience. At the same time, the monitor can be flexibly adjusted to suit the specific installation environment. A new, more powerful chipset combined with the latest Linux operating system ensures rapid response times and exceptionally smooth operation. DAB+ digital radio, Bluetooth®, and wireless Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ round out the extensive feature set. The VMX1401DAB runs on the latest Linux platform paired with a new, high-performance chipset. This ensures faster system responses, high stability, and exceptionally smooth operation - even when using wireless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

A particularly practical new feature: You can continue listening to DAB+ or FM radio even while using navigation via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. Navigation prompts appear automatically, briefly lowering the radio volume, after which the selected station resumes playing.

Physical buttons for greater ease of use: Compared to touch-sensitive controls, physical hard keys offer clear advantages, especially while driving. ESX developers therefore deliberately chose this control solution. The buttons are easy to locate by touch and operate precisely, meaning the driver needs to take their eyes off the road less frequently. This enhances both ease of use and safety.

Up to 17 mm more flexibility: The newly developed metal installation cage offers two locking positions, allowing for even better adaptation to various installation scenarios. Depending on the vehicle, the VMX1401DAB can be recessed up to 17 mm further into the radio slot, allowing it to blend even more seamlessly into the cockpit. Detach the display and simply take it with you. The VMX1401DAB’s 14-inch control panel can be detached from the main unit in just a few simple steps, making it easy to carry along or stow away securely. This ensures the high-quality monitor does not remain visible in the vehicle when not in use - a particularly practical feature for motorhomes, vans, convertibles, or vehicles that remain parked for extended periods.
