The new VMX1201DAB brings the latest generation of ESX moniceivers to an impressive 12-inch scale. Its spacious multi-angle touchscreen not only offers an excellent view but can also be flexibly adjusted to suit specific installation requirements. A new, more powerful chipset combined with the latest Linux operating system ensures rapid response times and exceptionally smooth operation. Connectivity features are comprehensive, including DAB+ digital radio, Bluetooth®, and wireless Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. The VMX1201DAB runs on the latest Linux platform paired with a new, high-performance chipset. This results in faster system responses, high stability, and exceptionally smooth operation—even when using wireless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™.

 

A particularly practical new feature: You can continue listening to DAB+ or FM radio even while using navigation via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. Navigation prompts are automatically overlaid, briefly lowering the radio volume, after which the selected station resumes playing automatically.

 

Physical buttons for greater ease of use: Compared to touch-sensitive controls, physical hard keys offer clear advantages, especially while driving. ESX developers therefore deliberately chose this control solution. The buttons are easy to locate and operate precisely, meaning the driver needs to take their eyes off the road less frequently. This enhances both ease of use and safety.

 

Up to 17 mm more flexibility: The newly developed metal installation cage offers two locking positions, allowing for even better adaptation to various installation scenarios. Depending on the vehicle, the VMX1201DAB can be recessed up to 17 mm deeper into the radio slot, allowing it to blend even more harmoniously into the cockpit. Detach the display and simply take it with you: The VMX1201DAB’s 12-inch control unit can be detached from the main unit in just a few simple steps, allowing you to carry it with you or stow it safely. This ensures the high-quality monitor doesn't have to remain visible in the vehicle when not in use - a particularly practical feature for motorhomes, vans, convertibles, or vehicles that are parked for extended periods.
