1. Your already set up WiFi network is no longer available.

You are probably outside of the sending and receiving range of your established WiFi network. Usually the range is no more than 50 m.

 

TIP: Many restaurant chains or rest stops offer free WiFi for travelers passing through. Just look for a sign on site and then connect to the Internet through the ESX device.

2. The LTE / 4G connection is not working or is no longer available.

This can have various reasons. First make sure that the SIM card (not included in the scope of delivery) has been correctly inserted into the 4G dongle supplied and that the 4G antenna in the vehicle is not installed too shielded. Please refer to the enclosed user manual and the installation instructions for your ESX device.

If you still have problems with the LTE / 4G connection, please note these tips:

  • Check whether there is enough data left on your SIM card.
  • Is your SIM card still active or has it been deactivated by the mobile operator due to inactivity?
  • Are you traveling in a foreign cellular network and data roaming is blocked?
